Impact Evaluation Results.

The implementation model utilized by Wezesha Impact has been instrumental in effectively reaching and impacting a wide population of youth, even with limited resources. Over the last nine years, we have successfully conducted entrepreneurial skills sessions that have benefited over 12,000 young individuals.

The outcomes of these interventions have been highly promising, showcasing substantial improvements in the entrepreneurial skills of the youth we engage with. This progress is evident through the findings of end-line surveys, which demonstrate significant advancements when compared to baseline surveys conducted in previous years.

A compelling testament to the effectiveness of our model is the remarkable progress observed in the 2019 cohort. Notably, the percentage of youth engaged in employment 3 (either through their own businesses or wage employment) increased significantly from 48% in the post-program survey to an impressive 79% as revealed in the internal impact survey. These figures highlight the tangible outcomes that extend beyond the sheer number of individuals trained, affirming the efficacy of our model.

Our latest external evaluation revealed that 3 years after the Wezesha Impact program experience, our alumni are better off than their peers in key areas linked to social, economic and life skills.
